National Black Arts Festival Announces 2022 Empower the Possibilities Entrada

The National Blackness Arts Festival (NBAF), a nonprofit organisation with a legacy of providing stellar artistic and educational programs in music, dance, film, visual arts, theater, and the literary arts recently announced the launch of its starting time-ever campaign, "Empower the Possibilities". The campaign volition spotlight and dilate Black artists' roles and contributions to a growing cultural economic system and market.

NBAF Receives Grant from National Endowment for the Arts

The one-year fellowship is underwritten through a partnership with the National Blackness Arts Festival. "NBAF seeks to ensure that the fine art and stories of Black people are increasingly presented and valued," said Stephanie Owens, executive director of NBAF. "We are committed to our work that helps shape a more equitable and impactful arts ecosystem. NBAF is excited to partner with ArtsATL on their fellowship program that will nurture the next generation of arts writers in an endeavour to go along to drag emerging artists of color."

NBAF Receives Grant from Georgia Council for the Arts

National Blackness Arts (NBAF) was awarded a grant past Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA), a sectionalisation of the Georgia Department of Economical Development, as part of its initial disbursement of grants for fiscal year 2022.
A total of 218 organizations were awarded 266 grants that provide more than $2 1000000 in funding to arts organizations throughout the state. "The 266 grants we have awarded will help cities and organizations leverage boosted funds and bring people back to work while providing fun and educational opportunities for Georgians across the state."

NBAF Selected equally a 2020 South Arts Resilience Fund Recipient

Northside Hospital Partners with NBAF in Support of The "Motility/Dance!" And "Dancing with Seniors" Programs

The Collective Culture Presents the Apollo Theater's Stage Adaptation of Ta-Nehisi Coates' Critically Acclaimed Between the World and Me at Atlanta Symphony Hall Oct. 22, 2019
National Black Arts (NBAF) is honored and proud to announce a new sponsor partnership with Northside Infirmary. Northside Hospital will be supporting NBAF's Movement/Dance! and Dancing with Seniors Programs with a generous $40,000 contribution for the 2020-2021 schoolhouse year.
The Motion/Dance! Program was established by NBAF as part of its Adopt-A-School Program. Information technology brings much needed arts education and physical pedagogy dorsum into local Atlanta middle schools. The program provides teaching artists who instruct diverse dance forms from the 18th to the 21st centuries. They besides instruct classroom etiquette and act equally mentors and role models. The U.S. Congress honored information technology as a "national treasure" in 2008, and last year it received the Governor's Award for the Arts and Humanities in Georgia.

NBAF Hosts Music Event, Fine art Gallery in Conjunction with Atlanta Jazz Festival.

The National Black Arts Festival will host ii events at the almanac Atlanta Jazz Festival in an effort to unify fans of various ages and art disciplines. Jazz and hip-hop make for a rich collaboration at Talkin' All That Jazz: The Jazz and Hip-Hop Fusion Concert at Metropolis Winery on May 23. And on May 25–26, the organization hosts Art in the Park, a pop-up outdoor gallery in Piedmont Park during the jazz fest.
The NBAF, a nonprofit system that supports art and artists of African descent through pedagogy and entertainment, has supported jazz and its role as a social conduit for more than than three decades. The organisation is seeking ways to transcend the generational divide in jazz music.

NBAF Super Basin Weekend Light Testify in Midtown

Artist Lillian Blades Hosts Workshop For Local Atlanta Students.
